Classic cheddar cheese with crackers is probably my #1 way to enjoy it! I also love a slice of cheddar cheese (sharp or extra sharp) with a slice of homemade apple pie… Seriously, it’s gooood!
Thanks, Meg! My two favorite ways to eat (sharp!) cheddar are: thin slices melted over a bowl of red pepper-tomato soup from Trader Joe’s; and a toasted cheese sandwich with cheddar, granny apple slices, and honey.
The best way to eat cheddar…Cut off a slice (okay, hunk) and enjoy!
My favorite way is just with thinly sliced grannie smith apples. I also love it on wheat toast with fig spread, grannie smith apple slices (very thin), extra sharpe cheddar, arugula and pepper! Honey is also a great substitute for fig spread!
Layer of nacho chips, layer of Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese, layer of nacho chips, another layer of cheddar cheese, and then topped with salsa, guacamole, black beans, and sour cream! Mmmm.

I like to have cheddar cheese baked with cauliflower…first cook the cauliflower in boiling water for 5 minutes-strain-melt butter (2 table spoons) in a sauce pan and add flour (3 tablespoons) then milk (2 cups 2%), whisking constantly, add nutmeg (1/4 teaspoon), pepper (1/2 teaspoon) and cheddar (1 cup)…pour melted cheese sauce over cauliflower and bake(375 for 25-30 minutes)-can add breadcrumbs before baking as well (serves 6-8).
Peel back the wrapper and take a big bite! Cabot is the best. . .

On a cold, rainy day, the best way to warm up is with a grilled cheese sandwich made with cheddar and tomato. Yum!

sounds a bit weird, but my favorite way is shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, mixed with a bit of garlic and olive oil broiled on baguette slices! it makes the cheesiest, tastiest little bruschetta!!
I love cheddar on my favorite Mexican casserole. The BEST part is…the dish packs in FOUR servings of vegetables and a mean protein punch! An added plus is that you can make it vegetarian OR carnivore-friendly: just add lean ground turkey meat to the recipe. It is also gluten-free! Saute a large, chopped zucchini with one diced onion, one cup of corn, a cup of black beans (we buy dry for less sodium), two cups of freshly diced tomatoes and a teaspoon of cumin. Once it is heated through, layer a casserole dish with corn tortillas, half the sauteed mixture and slather the “cheddah all ovah!” Layer another row of corn tortillas and the rest of the sauteed mix. Top with enchilada sauce and another layer of cheddar. Another great perk is that a couple can eat this at least TWICE since it makes more than one serving – AND it is budget friendly!

My favorite way to eat Cabot cheddar is to cut it up and roll it in a reduced fat pillsbury croissant and bake. Bite into it and delicious cheesiness awaits
