During the test- I read my book, a Saveur mag, and talked on the phone. It went by pretty quickly actually!
The wonderful nurses aide let me take pictures during in the room
So what happened during my test?
I drank a large dose of lactose and every 30 minutes I blew into a tube connected to a bag.
The air in the bag was then tested for hydrogen.
Even half way through the test – my numbers were going down…
Then, they when up again- big bums! Of course- my test was hard to read
3 hours and 15 minutes later – I found out that I am not lactose intolerant.
So this Wednesday I will be seeing an allergist who hopefully will help me figure out what is going on.
