It’s Time to Get Cookin’

After picking up my friend Beccah  at the train station- we turned the oven on and got started working on these gf shortbread cookies.

Our first batch of ‘drizzlers’ – looked more lumpy and clumpy than yummy.

But our second batch were juuusssst right!

I decided to pack some up to bring over to Elise’s. Then I got started on the potato gratin & green beans!

The gratin turned out really well- without the use of cream or thyme. Instead I used skim milk(it’s what I had), butter, Cabot, and parmesan cheese. It was all about the  thin potato slices- thank you mandolin!

Dave and I then packed up our goodies and headed over to Elise’s house for dinner!

Elise & I had decided to not split up the large pig roast we had received in our share and have dinners together all throughout the fall Smile

The pork took awhile to cook- so our dinner started with this beautiful plate of veggies- YUM!

Second course was this beautiful pork roast!

It was perfectly tender and delicious!
