Detox Dinner

Last night’s wine and laughter definitely caught up to me today. We were ALL moving slow today but still had a wonderful time hanging out together. Kristen and I even rallied enough to go to TjMaxx. 

After a quick puppy walk with Nys & Ben, a  stop by by Toby , Sarah and Evelyn- we helped K & P pack up and dropped them off at the airport Sad smile I  always hate(I mean dislike) to see them go!

We came home and I decided to take making mmm sauce. I needed some time in the kitchen. For me it is soothing like taking a bath or relaxing with a good book….

Also, all my blogger buddies seem have been making this sauce keep and I just had to try it out!

mmm sauce (recipe by Peas & Thank You)

  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/3 cup water
    • 1/4 cup  chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
      • 2 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
      • 1 tsp. minced garlic
      • 1/4 tsp. salt
      • 3/4 tsp. curry powder
      • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
      • 1/2 tsp. dried cilantro

      In a high speed blender or food processor, combine oil, almonds, water and chickpeas. Blend until relatively smooth.Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

      I made double the recipe since I had a lemon and chickpeas to use up! With kale chips this was a perfect post party dinner!

      I recommend whipping up a batch and trying it out- it’s nutritious and delicious!
