This weekend my mama is coming in to help us set our nursery up – I can’t believe I am writing that! She asked for one thing for breakfast- granola!
I decided to make souped up Maple Nut Granola- with almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, raisins, cranberries, and dried cherries for her mornings.
Mom’s Coming Granola
- 5 cups of Bobs gf oats
- 1/2 cup of pecans
- 1/2 cup of almonds
- 1/2 cup of cashews
- 1/2 cup of sunflowers seeds
- 1/3 cup of canola oil
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 tsp. of salt.
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- 1/4 cup of dried cherries
- 1/2 cup of dried cranberries
Preheat the oven t0 350F. Mix the oats and nuts together and toast in oven on 2 baking sheets for 10 minutes. During that time mix the oil, syrup and honey in a large bowl. Take the oats/nuts out of the oven and mix with the oil mixture while hot. Bring the oven temperature down to 300F. Place oat mixture on 2 parchment lined baking sheets. Place in the oven for 22-24 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool. The mixture will break into pieces! Add dried fruit and mix. Enjoy!
I think this might be mom’s new favorite …
Can’t wait to be together and sitting down for a bowl tomorrow morning!
